Software Engineeer
Mutual of Enumclaw Jan 2023 Present

At Mutual of Enumclaw, I modernized legacy insurance applications by transitioning from C# and .aspx to modern JavaScript frameworks like React, Next.js, and Vue.js. I focused on improving performance, consolidating codebases, and implementing automated testing with Playwright. I also mentored interns, integrated logic to meet state regulatory requirements, and built critical tools to support underwriting and quoting processes, helping streamline operations and enhance the user experience.

Software Engineer
Trader PhD Nov 2021 - Jan 2023

At Trader PhD, I led the transition from outsourced development to an in-house engineering team, establishing DevOps procedures and documenting local setup processes. I managed the rebuild of core applications using React Native, modified APIs in Node.js, and monitored AWS and production environments. I also coordinated with external UI/UX and DevOps teams, migrated version control from SVN to Git, and rebuilt the main website with a focus on SEO and analytics.

At LogicL LLC, I served as the lead developer for mobile framework projects using React Native, NativeScript, and Flutter. I guided client projects through the full software development lifecycle, managed high-impact systems like Young Living’s commission program via SSH servers, and improved SEO practices across internal and client websites. I also developed and maintained a wide range of web applications using Angular, React, JavaScript, and Hugo, while designing backend architectures for high-end retail sites.

Special day where hard work paid off
12 Feb 2020

The day I graduated with my Bachelor's in Computer Science was filled with pride and disbelief. It marked the end of a journey that started with uncertainty and self-doubt, but ended in achievement.

When I first stepped into that program, I felt completely out of place—like a fish out of water. The concepts were overwhelming, the pace intense, and I often questioned if I belonged. But I kept showing up. Each challenge, from debugging impossible code to cramming for finals, taught me something beyond the textbook. Over time, that unfamiliar environment became a space where I grew, not just as a developer, but as a person willing to struggle for something meaningful.

Graduation wasn’t just a milestone—it was proof that I could persevere through something incredibly difficult and come out stronger on the other side.

Unmatched experiences serving my country
12 Feb 2020

From graduating Basic Training as Distinguished Honor Graduate to leading soldiers as a Sergeant, my time in the Army National Guard was marked by growth and purpose. I supported state missions ranging from wildfire relief to civil unrest protection, each testing my adaptability and calm under pressure.

My military career spanned over a decade, during which I held two distinct roles: Aviation Operations Specialist and Cryptographic Linguist. In the former, I tracked and coordinated helicopter missions—often serving as a critical link between pilots and command. As a linguist, I translated real-time Spanish radio transmissions to support intelligence operations. Rising to the rank of E-5 Sergeant, I led teams through daily responsibilities, balancing tactical decisions with mentorship. Whether supporting domestic operations like the BLM protests in Utah or firefighting efforts in Montana, my service taught me how to lead with clarity in high-pressure environments.

The Guard didn’t just give me skills—it gave me perspective, grit, and the confidence to lead through uncertainty.

Only yet to see it all
12 Feb 2020

I’ve been fortunate to explore over 18 countries, soaking in their cultures, scenery, and cuisine. From the Amalfi Coast’s breathtaking cliffs to a cooking class in Tuscany, each place left its mark. Whether navigating language barriers or embracing new flavors, travel continues to shape how I see the world.

Travel has taken me across more than 18 countries, offering a vibrant mix of culture, food, and unforgettable scenery. Some of my favorite destinations include Thailand, Italy, Prague, Amsterdam, Switzerland, and South Korea. Italy holds a special place in my heart—especially the Amalfi Coast, which feels like stepping into a painting. On a recent trip, I took a hands-on cooking class in Tuscany and brought back the joy (and technique) of making fresh pasta from scratch. While some friends found the language barrier and unfamiliarity overwhelming, I’ve always found a sense of calm and adaptability in travel, shaped by the unique path my life has taken.

Every journey reminds me how lucky I am to explore the world—and how much more there is to see.
